Folate Therapy Directly Linked to Positive CFD Outcomes

Cerebral folate deficiency (CFD) is a condition associated with low levels of a vital, transportable form of folate called 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) while folate levels are normal in other body (non-nervous) systems. Consider these results of a National Safety Council survey conducted in 2017: “97 percent of Americans…have at least one of the leading nine risk factors for fatigue…working at night or early in the morning, working long shifts without regular work breaks, working more than 50 hours each week, and enduring long commutes. Seventy-six percent of workers say they feel tired at work, 53 percent feel less productive, and 44 percent have trouble focusing.”  On top of...

Spoiler alert: it isn’t by taking folic acid Women with access to good health care typically know that during pregnancy, their self-care game needs to level up. After all, in that stage of life, self-care isn’t really just self-care; it’s also tiny human care. Taking high quality, prenatal specific vitamins is one of the first things a doctor will recommend.
